CCA Kids
When I decided to do the Cher-toons books I was in touch with Jill Gorecki, a CCA Mom who I met on social media. She was such an inspiration when I decided to publish the toons, and we came up with a plan to help CCA Kids while sharing my fun Cher-toons. I've been sharing a portion of royalties with CCA ever since first publishing. I was invited to The CCA kids Annual Retreat in 2016 and it was an incredible experience, the love I observed and felt while at this event was unlike anything I have ever felt before. CCA is a magical family and I will forever be grateful for their warm welcome. This photo is with the wonderful Guzzo and Gorecki families.

THE CHER-TOON BIRTHDAY CAKE
My shining moment....when Cher's best friend Paulette arranged to have my Cher-toon grace the top of Cher's Birthday cake. I was later even more thrilled to receive a phone call from Cher requesting me to do a toon of her Mom since her Mom loved my work....a complete labor of love, I have been a lifelong Cher fan and am also a secret admirer of her fabulous Mom Georgia.
JOAN RIVERS IN NYC
A dear friend asked me to join him in NYC for a Joan Rivers show, so what better time to create some JOAN-TOONS. I made a collection of humourous Joan Greeting cards with illustrations and rhyming jokes for her. When I arrived at the venue I gave them to the maitre'd and asked him to please give them to her backstage thinking they'd probably not make it passed the nearest trash can. Later as Joan took the stage to my enormous surprise she brought the cards onstage with her and proceeded to introduce me and my work to the audience. She bought us dinner and joked with me all evening....another shining moment I shall never forget.

I once had the wonderful experience of designing some greeting cards for Cher's Mom Georgia Holt. I had done a toon of Georgia as a request from Cher and then received a request from Georgia for personalized greeting cards....her with her little dog Winnie <3

Such an inspiration, we share a common past of addiction and finding the light. Her smile is warm and welcoming with an incredible calming effect. I'm grateful to have crossed her path and told her what an inspiring light she has been in my life. When we met she looked in my eyes and told me I was beautiful, she moved me deeply....she's truly an uplifting soul.

My daughter Destini and I had the thrill of seeing music icon Melissa Manchester in concert AND the pleasure of meeting her after.
